Reasonable product, questionable sales tactics,
I’m reasonably happy with this product. It gives me what I was looking for, namely, a lightweight carrying case for the kindle that offers good protection against damage while traveling. My only disappointment was that the product is bigger than it has to be by about a half an inch all the way around. I don’t think this affects the performance, and it does offer some leeway for adding a sleeve to the kindle, but I would have preferred something that was as sleek as possible. My guess is they are recycling an older case made for an earlier kindle or some other product, but I don’t really know.
But what motivated me to write this review was a follow up email I received from the company. Here is an excerpt from that email (between the /***/’s):

Personally, I don’t think this sort of thing should be allowed by Amazon sellers. I rely heavily on the customer reviews and a tactic like this is bound to skew the results in favor of a product. I tried to find the appropriate way to notify Amazon, but couldn’t find a good fit with any of their complaint options. It’s not a problem with the product, and it’s not, Phishing or Spamming, exactly. So I’m posting it as part of this review so other customers will know that the reviews here may be unfairly biased in favor of the product.
Still, it is a good product, in my opinion. But they shouldn’t try to buy good reviews.

|Love It!!!! I disagree with previous review comments on size.,
First I must say I think this case is the perfect size for the Kindle Fire with or without the rubber case on the Kindle. I’m not sure why there are previous negative comments on size. My Kindle Fire fits perfect, it’s well padded & made quite well. The outside pocket is decent size & has a velcro closure. The pocket is large enough to fit my HCT HD7 cell phone inside. So no longer am I having to carry multiple cases! Gotta love it!
