OK bag, but not secure.,
The bag is of decent quality and not misrepresented, but I am disappointed in two things.
1. the camera is not zipped into the bag, only has velcro flap
2. the velcro belt strap is not as secure as I would like.
Pros:
1. Has a small ring on the back that you can use a for a hook attachment
2. Small zipper pocket in front will hold credit cards, etc (I have confirmed this).
These cons make me reluctant to use this bag in a theme park or busy event. I think it would be fine for every day use, or to store the camera on a shelf or in a car, but I am not too wild about those two things. The flap makes it easy to get quickly out, but also makes it easier to fall out on a roller coaster or something. I guess it depends on what you want this bag for.

|Good basic camera/camcorder bag,
I measure the interior of the main compartment of this medium-ish bag to be 5 x 3 x 2.3″. The interior lining is soft and protective, and the outer fabric is a good quality heavy nylon packcloth. Has a nice belt loop with handy velcro so the belt doesn’t have to come off in order to install or remove it. On the front there is a sidewise slender pocket with a good quality zipper. On mine, the velcro closure is where it is supposed to be for the bag to function properly. So maybe there was a quality control issue with the bag received by the earlier reviewer.
There is one flaw on mine, which is that the top flap is too narrow to properly protect the contents of the bag. If I were to load it in just the right way, and really stuff it, the flap would keep stuff in, but not completely prevent rain from entering. That is if I were out in the rain. Otherwise it wouldn’t be an issue, would it? So – sooner or later I will find a piece of black coated nylon in my arsenal of such stuff, and create a little rain shroud. Already got it designed in my head. I’m always doing that kind of mod. But one shouldn’t really have to. Still for six bucks this gets five stars.

|Cost Effective Protection,
Amazon’s line up of camera bags are offered in various sizes and always in black. The AmazonBasics FF model measures in at 3.5″ x 2.75″ x 5″. Its roomy enough for me to easily stow two Flip pocket camcorders or a medium sized point and shoot camera.
The exterior is well stitched and comprised of water repellent nylon. Like other models in this line it secures via a velcro fastened flap. I found that the flap gaps to the point that it compromises the protection of my gear. The jury is out on the velcro fastened belt loop. The included nylon lanyard/wrist strap can be attached to the D ring mounted on the back above the belt loop.
This case also sports a front mounted zipper pocket for SD card or battery storage. The zipper looks first rate but I have serious reservations about the logo embedded rubber tab. Its been my personal experience that these kind of tabs don’t hold up well in the long haul. Both my ear buds and mp3 player cases had the same tab design. I had to replace both tabs within six months of purchase.
I like the quality of the interior. Its roomy, nicely lined, and offers a good degree of padded protection. As I have mentioned earlier, both of our Flip pocket camcorders stow easily in this carrying case. This model also comes with a one year warranty against defects.
Even with the flaws, I still find the AmazonBasics Universal Camera Case (FF)to be an economically priced alternative to pricier, comparable products.
